Public Meeting in Kampen, Holland

By Committee Hizbawi Mekete of Kampen

Eritreans residing in Kampen and its environs held public meeting on Saturday November 10, 2007. More than 200 Eritrean nationals from different cities such as: Zwolle, Emmeloord, Meppel, Hengelo, Apeldoorn and Enschede attended the meeting (or Hizbawi Mekete).

The participants of the meeting talked about the major achievements so far registered in Eritrea’s multi-facet development programs, which is aimed to realize Eritrea’s principle of self-reliance. They praised the tireless efforts of the Eritrean people and Government; and they reaffirmed their readiness to fulfil, which is required of them.

The participants of the meeting also said that they are closely following all the orchestrated defamation against the Eritrean people and Government and they strongly condemned the US’s threat to enlist the state of Eritrea as sponsor of terrorism, which is ridiculous for anyone to believe that Eritrea would support terrorism.

At the end of the meeting, the participants of the meeting agreed to pass the following statements as the resolution of the public meeting Kampen 2007.

-  The issue of border conflict of Eritrea and Ethiopia should be solely solved according the Algiers Agreement and EEBC’s delimitation ruling of 13 April 2002. We also condemn any mechanism out side the Algiers Agreement and The Hague ruling.

- We condemn an orchestrated campaign against Eritrea’s self-reliance principle, which is based by mastering its own programs.

-  The Eritrean people’s unity is originated from the hard work of our ancestors; therefore, anyone who tried to create a crack in our unity is doomed to failure.

-  We condemn a conspiracy against our sovereignty and national security and we reaffirm to defend our country from evil enemies.

- We praise the coordinated efforts of the Eritrean people and government to promote food security and eradicate poverty in short period of time.

- We support Eritrea’s efforts to promote peace globally and regional, which is based on its non-aligned policy.

-  We are ready for any eventual threat against the Eritrean people and Government.

-  We supported the Warsay’s & Yeakelo’s who are tirelessly working day and night to defend our nation and for the future prosperity.

An Eternal Glory to Our Martyrs

Eritrea Will Always Prevail
