SHAEBIALISM It is exactly a month ago that 4th YPFDJ conference was held for three consecutive days, in Orillia, Ontario. As I was so enlightened and excited by the event, I promised to myself and to some of the participants to post any reflections regarding the conference immediately. However, I have been listening and dancing to the popular and interesting song, “Kekheweniu” for the whole month! I can’t stop inspiring myself recalling the fresh memories of the various activities: intensive political lecture by Yemane G/Ab, presentations by the YPFDJ representatives from various chapters, cultural shows, including dancing to a variety ethnic groups, discussions, games, story telling including jokes by talented individuals both the youth and “Mesegagerti”. The aim of this conference has always been to create a strong patriotic committed youth movement. Therefore, the content of the conference was also dedicated to the specific goal of the movement. Beside the lecture which was rich in historical, political, cultural, economic as well as spiritual analysis, the event, for many participants, including myself, created the atmosphere to exchange our experiences/knowledge, challenges, achievements and future plans or strategies in expanding the aim and the commitment of “Hizbawi Gembar” to all Eritreans wherever they reside, as one of the representatives from Oslo during her presentation, remarked that, “teaching SHAEBIALISM is one of our plans in the future.” This specific term, I would say concept is one of the most important discussions that triggered my mind in which I am going to write about in detail later. Having said that, on top of my delays for the mentioned reasons, I also have been waiting to see any article from the youth, particularly from one of those “mesegaerti” who mentioned the term SAHEBIALISM after the conference was over; he might as well procrastinating listening and dancing to the “Kekheweniu” song. This song, among others contributed to the recollection of “Hezbawi-Gembar’s” dedication and commitment at present and the past, the “khekweniu or ab-gibri” strong believe that led Eritrea to its liberation and progress based on self-reliance. I think this is among many reasons why all the participants together danced with full of energy without any interruption! Similarly, this “kekheweniu” also has another meaning for those very few “mesegagerti”, perhaps two or three, who have been struggling to establish youth group that are dedicated to “Hizbawi-Gembar” for long time in Toronto. According to my observation, except few, many Eritreans, regardless to their love of their country and support of the government, have forgotten that the existence of Eritrea and Eritreans is directly related to the existence of HizbawI-Gembar, therefore is very crucial to pass the unique values to the young generations. Thanks to those committed Mesegagerti who have been dedicating for years and supporting the youth in establishing the YPFDJ in various places regardless to the expected and unexpected challenges everywhere. Who knows they might have been singing in their heart “kehkewenyu nay geden” before Remdiet.? And their dream realized and was able to see and participate at the conference exclusively for YPFDJ as Mesegagerti. Hoping to see that many more impressions or reports regarding the conference from participants in the future, I would like to remind all the participants, as well as all Eritreans to sing and dance to the “Kekhewyniu” song, in which it is very vital in giving us encouragement and high moral to achieve our short and long term goals as individuals as well as a society at large. As our liberation was realized, our prosperity, tranquility and progress will also be realized in the near future for simple reason, the new generations inherited the unique history of commitment, resilience, sacrifice, dedication, goal of Hizbawi-Gembar in Eritrea and abroad in which they are committed to spread the teaching of SAHEBIALISM. Amuque Zekri Nsewuatna!!! Gmbarna
