“Blowing out someone else’s candles does not make yours shine brighter”.

Someone said this one day and thought to myself how fitting of a saying, looking at the current situations in the horn of Africa.

We all know that, there are some fainthearted Eritreans who operate this way in their day-to-day activities. Self proclaimed enemy puppets who call themselves opposition, divided into thirteen pathetic groups, are trying to paint Eritrea with all the bad colours they can find, just to satisfy their pathetic fantasies of dividing and causing chaos and then discredit the good work of the Eritrean Government. These puppets will resort to many different tactics. One day the constitution next religion, then economy they carryon with democracy.

As they say, action speaks louder than words and the world is witnessing the commendable vision of the Eritrean leadership that is accompanied with action. As I have said it before, pathetic tactics by the minute enemy puppets can never distract the long-term vision of the Eritrean leadership.

The European Commission has decided to help Eritrea by providing development aid. Let alone a leadership like the one in Eritrea, that has been working hard to build basic infrastructures for it’s people, so many corrupted leaders like the one in Ethiopia are being fed by aid every year only to pocket the aid and use it for their personal pleasure. The Ethiopian prime minister and his wife are prime examples.

The European Commission has made a decision of assisting Eritrea because it is a well-known fact that, the assistance will make a positive difference to the Eritrean people. More schools, hospitals, roads will be built, it will improve living standard of the Eritrean people.

If you try and argue with this fact, then it can only expose your suicidal intentions. Those who are trying to stop the development aid for Eritrea have come to their dead-end. When they were hopping to see Eritrea as a failed state, the truth spoke for itself and the European commission recognised the visionary leadership of Eritrea and decided to offer assistance. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but the puppets will swallow it.

Once upon a time, there were Eritreans who opposed the Eritrean freedom, some refused to cast their vote for freedom during the referendum. Some are siding with the Ethiopian invading corrupt regime and are trying to destabilise Eritrea, but it is natural to have clean and dirty, and Eritrea is being cleaned. The dirt is being washed away. The good thing is that, Eritrea does not need to spend time identifying the dirt, as the dirt is identifying itself then it becomes easier to get rid of it. The dogs will keep on barking, but the camel never stops marching.

The Candle of defiance will keep on lighting.

Glory to the Eritrean Martyrs,

Awet N’Hafash
